To discover Ken Loach

Throughout his career, Loach has used the camera as an eye pointed at society, particularly in his native country. His film The Wind That Shakes The Barley won the 2006 Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

The film Bread and Roses tackles the problem of the exploitation of immigrant workers through the story of Maya, a Mexican without papers who works for a cleaning company. The film is based on a real campaign, "Justice for Janitors", which took place in the United States in 1994.
