The sound engineer training program held at the studio Moffou in Bamako

Preserving Malian musical heritage by restoring and safeguarding sound archives, such was the objective of the 12th session of the sound engineer training program. This training was part of annual professionalization program launched by Vivendi in 2006. It was held at Salif Keita’s studio, the Moffou Studio in Bamako.

Every year the interns broaden their knowledge of sound techniques on a particular theme. In 2016 they learned more about restoration and safeguarding of sound archives and have passed different levels of the Pro Tools certification.

As part of the 10th edition of its fall arts festival Crossing the Line, the French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) with support of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation  launches on October, 1st 2016 the new programme BRIDGING: A French-American Dialogue on Diversity and Inclusion in the Arts. An initiative with panel discussions mixing artists and arts institutions and performances to explore issues of cultural equity in the US and France.
