The film showcases several sides of this French pop star: the singer, the entertainer, the businessman, the man. Over 67 million recordshave been sold during his career and in the years since his death.

The fast-paced film is accompanied by a compilation of Claude François recordings, including "Comme d'habitude," a song that Frank Sinatra helped to make famous worldwide in its English-language version, "My Way." In this scene, "Comme d'habitude" is heard as François takes the stage for his performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Belgian actor Jérémie Renier braved six months of preparation for the role in order to get under the character's skin: the onscreen results are remarkable.
