The label promotes atypical, "against all forms of standardization" musical projects. Open to all genres and forms of musical expression, No Format! handles such artists as Gonzales,Chocolate Genius and Mamani Keita, and its albums are often the product of encounters between artists from different worlds. Chamber Music arose in this manner, through collaboration between French cellist Vincent Segal and Malian kora player Ballaké Sissoko.

Executive Producer and Founder of the No format! record label
In 2004, Laurent Bizot founded the independent No Format! label, which is based in Paris.
